Another plug for early spay/neuter….

Bellatrix and Hagrid are only 4 months old, but.... Here's another plug for early spay/neuter.... Spayed Bellatrix (4 months old) this morning and neutered Hagrid, the two kittens I adopted from the Carteret pound early last month. He is just barely over 4# and she isn't quite yet 4#. That little girl was already going into heat with some early breast development and a uterus the size of something I would have expected to take out of a cat twice...

Planned closures for 2018

Hi there!  These are the days in 2018 that we are planning to be closed.  Please understand that we are a very small clinic and several team members live some distance from work, so snow/ice storms, hurricanes and other severe weather may impact us and affect our schedules more so than other places.  We'll try to give as much advance notice as possible if the schedule needs to change.  Having said that, we know we'll be closing these days: 2018...

What the heck is “bomb cyclone” even supposed to mean?

Still very hazardous driving conditions outside today, making commute dangerous for all. I don't know what a "bomb cyclone" is, but I do know what snow and icy roads are. It *is* winter, after all. We had a snow storm.  We will likely stay closed until Monday. Hopefully the sun will get to work and thaw the roads so that we can all travel safely. Stay warm and safe!

You can access the main page by clicking on the banner (which is still a placeholder till we can get a nicer one made!) 2. The "news" tab will be where most of the updated information will be posted. That will be the...

The holidays are approaching, and so is stress (and often pee problems) for your cat.

A lot of people don't think about the fact that our holiday excitement, decorating, family gatherings, house guests, etc can cause a lot of stress for our feline friends.  For most cats, change is bad and very stressful.  When cats get stressed, we see more inappropriate urinating and cystitis problems.  Sometimes they develop infections, but sometimes it is simply an anxiety issue.   Unfortunately we tend to see more cats with pee problems over the holiday season. There are several types...
